There
is a season for everything under the heaven: the book of Ecclesiastes confirms
this, as it says, “TO EVERYTHING there
is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.” Eccl
3:1, AMP
However,
we cannot tie the mystery of the season in which so many people kill
theirselves around the book of Ecclesiastes: they do it of their own accord,
and the Bible did not mandate people to kill themselves or theirselves.
People
commit suicide for different reasons. One was the story of a teenage girl who
killed herself because her boyfriend loved her so much that she could not comprehend
it.
Another
case was the story of a man who committed suicide because he was indebted to a
cooperative society: one man intentionally entered an almost fire-razed
building because there was a big sum of money in there, but ended up burning
with the building.
Several
occurrences had pushed people into committing suicide, but there is no
justification for it – no matter the situation.
Suicide inflicts pains
on those who commit it until life is out of them
For
someone who took a poisonous substance, he or she would experience intestines
wrenching, as if something was cutting him or her to pieces.
Such
people, before they finally gave up the ghost, would regret ever doing that and
hope that they would not die to take proper decisions.
What
of another person that stabbed him or herself in the stomach? The intestines
would gush out (with blood) from him or her – crying for serious help and
regretting ever taking such decision too.
Then,
the person who hung him or herself with rope would have his or her throat
stiffened and would not be able to breath – resulting to writhing in pain:
blood running through the veins in the brain; the tongue outstretched; and the
eyes shootout. Probably, there was bleeding in the nostrils; eyes; and hears.
All
(but not limited to) the above mentioned psychological, and physiological
traumas are what those that commit suicide experience.
It
is awful!
It is against
morality; it is against the plans of God
While
the Bible does not categorically say that one should not commit suicide: it can
be inferred that such is against God – based on the original plan of God for
the demise of every man.
“… until you return to
the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you
shall return.” Gen
3:19, AMP
Originally,
God intended (since Adam and Eve fell to the deception of the devil) that man
should die in a natural death, as He further declared that no man could take
the blood or life of another man.
“And surely for your
lifeblood I will require an accounting; from every beast I will require it; and
from man, from every man [who spills another's lifeblood] I will require a
reckoning.” Gen
9:5, AMP
don't live in hell for ever
Do not use your hand
to push yourself into hell
From
all that we have said so far, we can, succinctly, tell you that you will go to
hell if you kill yourself.
Rather
than killing yourself: seek help (as in counsel). Talk to Pastors and counsellors.
Read the Bible, pray and look forward to hearing what the Holy Spirit would say
to you.
God
is a God of love: He loves you (with everything). He wants you to be closer to
Him; He really wants to reveal secrete things to you, but you got to accept His
warm offers of calling you to ‘a life of total submission in Christ’.
We call you to give
your life to Christ (if
you have not done that before), or to
rededicate your life to Christ (if you have fallen short of God’s glory).

Lord
Almighty – I appreciate you for your love that has found me. Please, take
control of my life. Let me not be moved by external forces or what the world
implies (anymore), but to be moved by the Holy Spirit to do things that please
you, all the days of my life.
Keep
me and grant me the grace to continue with you throughout my life; may I also
find fulfilment in you oh Lord. Thank you for answering me in Jesus name, amen.
