Food
is something that every living being cannot do without: it is available in
varieties across all nations and tribes.
Among
same tribe too, food is prepared in different delicacies due to individuals’
skills and desires. It is a source of strength or renewal of body cells.
Food,
according to the Wikipedia is ‘any substance consumed to provide nutritional
support for the body. It is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains
essential nutrients, such as fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals’.
Sources of food
Food
is gotten from plants and animals – cultivated or reared by man. We could say
that God is the primary source of food, while the two (aforementioned) are the
secondary sources – necessitated by God’s declarations.
“And
God said, Let the waters under the heavens be collected into one place [of
standing], and let the dry land appear. And it was so. God called the dry land
Earth, and the accumulated waters He called Seas. And God saw that this was
good (fitting, admirable) and He approved it. And God said, Let the earth put
forth [tender] vegetation: plants yielding seed and fruit trees yielding fruit
whose seed is in itself, each according to its kind, upon the earth. And it was
so.

Also, God created the animals in Gen 1:20,21 and in Gen 1:24-25, and then God declared, “… See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face
of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for

Why
is doing personal cooking needful?
Personal cooking refers to when a
person cooks the food he or she eats – by him or herself.
This is needful, as so many people
engage the services of food vendors or visit restaurants before they could eat:
they do not know how to cook, and sometimes it is because they are too lazy to
cook.
You got to do personal cooking,
because of two things: your health and
your finance.
For
your health:
Food prepared by vendors are prone
to contamination due to their openness, and a number of people that work on
them.
Sometimes, the ingredients used to
prepare some of the food are best known to those who prepare them: some of the
ingredients may have expired; some may have even spoilt.
The neatness of those that prepare
the food is of another concern. While preparing the food, they carry different
tools (here and there) and their hands become contaminated: they will still use
the hands to prepare the food, without frequent washing of their hands.
