‘… most men will proclaim, everyone his own
righteousness, but a faithful man who can find?’.
That
someone has accepted Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Saviour does not make
that individual a saint (overnight): there must be the process of dedication to
God’s word (hearing and doing what the words bid), praying to God for
understanding, and living a life of consecration.
Today,
there are a lot of leaders (in the church) who are full of different characters
that cannot be associated with our Lord Jesus, but they just live their lives
thoughtless of those shortcomings and are setting different kind of traps for
oneanother or against their members.
If Jesus was to
correct somebody today?
Like
we call ourselves christians – many people do not toll the way of Christianity,
but are taking it upon themselves to always find offenders of church doctrines
(that are religious and limited: developed by men), while shrouding their own
unbalanced lives.
Today,
some Christian leaders now discuss the shortcomings of their followers rather
than seeking to help them (as Christ would have done) – not loving people’s
sins, but deriving pleasure in transforming their lives.
This
is no longer the case, most times, as some Christian leaders now make their
followers to feel incapable; unworthy of the services they render to the body
of Christ; worthless than an ungodly; worthless of Jesus’ death and His
salvation that He gives (as if they have the power to renounce those followers’
salvation); worthless than themselves (the leaders); and so on.
Correcting a mistake
is no longer in love but to build leaders’ images
“Let everything you do
be done in love (true love to God and man as inspired by God's love for us).”1
Cor 16:14, AMP
Some
leaders would have torn down ministries and churches (due to their actions and
words), but for a number of people who are only enduring (through the Holy
Spirit) – those churches and ministries are still functioning.
This
set of leaders causes griefs to their followers: although, they may not be
totally bad – they pose a great risk to the ministries and churches in which
they operate.
We are not condemning
these people: everyone can still change from worse to better
The
way Jesus handled the issue of a woman brought to Him by the Scribes and the
Pharisees (with the allegation of adultery) was not to encourage the act of
adultery, but to show great concern for people who have known shortcomings. John
8:1-11
Jesus
did not raise abuse or shout on the woman like her accusers did. Rather, He
demonstrated the wisdom of God to silence those accusers and then told the
woman to go and sin no more.
The
pivot of this devious act of choking people’s will by their leaders’ attitudes
is ‘the lack of love’. If love exists in these leaders, they should be sensible
enough to know that they are talking to people that have emotions; people that
can be hurt; people that can be discouraged; people that have power over their
own wills; and people that are created in God’s image.
Leaders need to work
on themselves to transform their followers
There
is no one that can attain golden-maturity in the Christendom, but until we all
die (from this world) – we cannot cease from asking God to help us in our
Christian-race, everyday.
"I can do nothing
on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do
not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” John 5:30, NASB.
Jesus,
Himself, affirmed that He could do nothing by His own power (when He was still
on earth), but that He did everything as He heard from God.
We
should note that imposing our will on people will only cause strive, and the
scripture says that ‘a soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up
anger’.
If
leaders could work on themselves (unto perfection by working in peace with all
and sundry), their followers would not become mad without cause: a follower (in
his or her right senses) would not jump up and begin to accuse the leader
without a reason.
In
a nutshell, both leaders and followers should seek to having peaceful
co-existence (at all times): they should keep in mind that they belong to the
Kingdom of God, and therefore, could not tarnish God’s image between themselves
and before the public.
Those
who are hot-tempered should seek God for patience, longsuffering, joy, peace,
and love; those who scourge with the words of mouth should seek God for
self-control, endurance, kindness and peace.
likely meeting in the church
Since
we are all running a race (not to outrun oneanother) for the perfection of all,
together, we should deprive ourselves from seeking self-glory, but allow
ourselves to seek the daily development of oneanother (in godliness and
righteousness) unto the perfection of the saints, when individuals would be
called home and when Christ would come to take those remaining, along with
those risen from the dead.
“And if God is
glorified through and in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and He will
glorify Him at once and not delay. [Dear] little children, I am to be with you
only a little longer. You will look for Me and, as I told the Jews, so I tell
you now: you are not able to come where I am going. I give you a new
commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you
too should love one another. By this shall all [men] know that you are My
disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among
yourselves].” John
13:32-35, AMP.
NB: you
do not have part in God’s eternal Kingdom except if you are born again (hence,
you should accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour).
Would you love to give
your life to Jesus? Then say this prayer:
I thank you Jesus
because your death is a ransom for my soul. Thank you for not allowing the
devil to take me into destruction.
I commit my spirit
into your hands (for the rest of my life): guide me, shield me, and uphold me
with your right hand of righteousness.
In Jesus name I
prayed, amen.
A few things you

a Bible and read it everyday.
-Join
a church that teaches the undiluted word of God so that you may grow
spiritually.
-Pray
everyday, and listen to what the Holy Spirit instructs you with.

with people around you (beginning from your friends), and
